Question about PINS and Codes

So, after reading thru here, I called WDW and asked if there were any discounts attached to my name, he checked my name and DH's name and said no. He did tell me to watch the website though.

So, if I've already booked my trip, why would WDW send me a discount code/pin?

And are these discounts that are people specific, or available to anyone?

I keep reading about a 40% disc for Nov, which is when we're traveling. I'd love to know how I can get that disc.

Codes are sent out randomly. Even if youre booked you may get one. Your best bet is to order the vacation planning DVD, register your email on disneyworld.com, and save a few differant "Vacations" on the website
