Question about PIN Code -- is this a good deal?

I was excited to receive a PIN code in my email, especially since we got one a few months ago that we weren't able to use.

But I was testing out some dates and "running the numbers," and I'm not sure it's that great of a deal, especially considering the PIN code offer I got a few months ago.

The new offer is:

book by 2/18 for stays 1/2 to 3/31

Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel
Save 35%* on stays of 3 or more nights.
-or-
Save 30%* on stays of 1–2 nights.

Disneyland® Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa
Save 30%* on stays of 3 or more nights.
-or-
Save 20%* on stays of 1–2 nights.

For stays most nights 1/2–3/31/12.

So, first I put in dates in March (during our spring break -- I don't care about crowds) and it came for three nights at:

DH $840 ($280/night)
PP: $594 ($198/night)
GC: $1,017 ($339/night)

I also tried just one night and for DH (where we really want to stay) is still $280 -- even though the promo says you save more if you stay three nights.

I tried dates in February and during the week, in case the rates were higher for spring break time, and they were only about $10 a night cheaper.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this deal just not as great as the one prior? Our previous PIN code offer, for stays in October 2011, were (per night):

DH: $186
PP: $163
GC: $247

Thanks!

I got the same pin code.

I called in (866-291-0916) and talked to a lady at Disney travel and we ran the pin code deal and the deal online (same deal online but it ends the end of Feb where the pin code ends the end of March) and for my dates, it was cheaper to book online without the pin code.

I saved around $450 for the 4 nights. I think I paid $156 a night. I am going before the Presidents day long weekend and the prices are cheaper.

Call in and talk to someone, maybe they can help.

Oh and the deal is only for Sunday to Thursday. If you stay Friday or Saturday, you will pay full price.

This is true, but the price for Friday/Saturday is not much higher than Sun-Thurs, at least for February, when I booked.

Also, I booked with the AP discount. They're the same prices, except that if you do it via the AP discount, apparently the lower mid-week prices apply even if you have some weekend days. So I booked 4 nights on a Friday to Tuesday, and got the midweek rate for all 4 nights. Only saved about 25 bucks, but hey, that's better than nothing! ;)

Thanks! I will look for the online deal (is it just on the general Disneyland page?) or call.

I'd love to go in February, but we live 10 hours away and my husband hates the idea of pulling our kid out of school.
