Question about Photopass CD and copyright

I just ordered my photopass CD and I know that I can print pictures at home, Costco, etc. and that there is a copyright release on the CD.

What about online printing places (Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc?) Can the CD pics be uploaded and printed to an online site? I want to make a calendar for my mom and combine some of the pics I took with some of the pics that the photopass photographers took, but didn't know if that was possible.

I've printed them from Flickr and never had a problem. If Snapfish/Shutterfly stops you there should be a digital release on the CD that you can provide them.

I've never had a problem with anyof the online or in store retailers, and I've gotten my photos printed at target, costco, shutterfly and snapfish. If they did ask for something, the copyright release is in jpeg format, so I guess you coulld always upload that to your album?

I have gotten "nailed" by the Walgreens photopass police. Boy did this girl give me a hard time! I had to call her manager and thankfully he had done PP in the past and gave me the pictures. I printed off the release and had her manager sign it for future run ins with her.

I was uable to order Calendars from Walmart.com. My order was cancelled 6 times. Everytime it happened I contacted WM and they said it was just a computer error-go ahead and re-order. They said it wasn't the copyright issue. Finally, after the 4th cancellation they said it was the copyright problem. They told me exactly what to do (fax over copyright agreement, etc.) and what time to send it. I did this twice, and the orders were still cancelled (at 1 a.m. everytime) I finally gave up and didn't order the calendars. It was too bad as I really like the quality of WM's calendars but couldn't get pat the automatic cancellation of my order.

I've ordered prints from Sam's Club without a problem. I was supposed to show them the copyright agreeement but they forgot to ask.

walmart has been known to be a huge PITA about that sort of thing, not just photopass. Friend of mine used photoshop to make up her baby's birth announcements, and it was GORGEOUS. She had it on her disc, took it in, and they refused to print and almost wouldn't give her her disc back! They never did believe her that she made it, and she did not get them printed there.

So just flat out watch out for WM.


The release should work for all places; but sometimes the employees and management don't use their brains and cause issues. Good luck!

Geese! What problems, and over a subject, that should not be. Just take everything to Target!

I just ordered calendars from shutterfly with a photopass pic in them and they printed and shipped. So it must not have been an issue at all there.
