One of my best friends is a photographer...has a brand new business doing mainly wedding pictures.

Before my brother moved to Korea we had her take some pictures of us. Most of them turned out great, I am a little disappointed that we only got about 20 different shots for $80.

She gave me the CD yesterday and I went to order them on Shutterfly. The problem is shutterfly says only to print up to a wallet size:confused3

Is this something she did or am I doing something wrong? I know I have pics of my last trip to Disney that I can print up to a 16X20 on shutterfly...

Thanks!

Getting 20 shots for $80 bucks from a professional photographer is an incredible deal, to me that sounds like what you got was a proof disk of the best 20 shots she took, and from that disk your supposed to tell her what shots you want to order, which will be extra. That is how most professionals will run their business.

Now the question is, what was agreed when you had the pictures taken?

Really?? Ok, if that's a good deal than I am fine with that. I guess I just expected more.

She doesn't do any printing, just provides the disk.

I did however look a little closer on the disk and under a folder called Originals found higher quality of the same pics so I can print them up to 20X30.

Thanks for your input. She did give me a little discount, like $20 since she is newer and we are friends :goodvibes I love the pictures regardless though...she did a GREAT job.

If that's the case, then she really really gave you a good deal.

Sounds like what she did was provide you with originals and low res shots that you could use online etc. Nice friend. And good shots as well.

I didn't see there were two folders on the disc, "edited" and "originals"...the originals are at a much higher quality. Lol I got nervous because these pics were taken back in August and the first CD she gave me was blank. I feel like I have been waiting forever so I guess I just jumped the gun a bit. Thanks again for your help!!!
