Question about payment for CRT and HDD with DDP

I know at time of booking you have to pay for CRT and HDD. Do they put that money back on your CC when you have the DDP at time of service?

I believe I have read before that is what they do, or they put it on your room account to go towards any incidental charges, but I can't be certain as I've never done this. But I do know if you have the DDP when you make your ADRs, they don't charge you. We go every year with DDP and have never been charged at the time of booking.

I had to call to do HDD on the DDP and not be charged.

Crt you do not get charged st time of booking. If you're a no show then you get charged the full amount instead of the usual $10 pp fee.

When you pay you say you want to use your ddp credits.

If you already have the dining plan when making your ADR for HDDR you should see an option to pay with dining credits vs paying on your credit card. Some people have reported not having that option resulting in having to call to make their ADR in order to pay using the dining plan. If you prepay on your credit card and then later purchase the dining plan you can have the charges refunded to your credit card account and use your dining plan credits instead. Guest Services at your resort should be able to handle this for you. I last did this in 2015 so the process may have changed but it is doable. Someone else on the DIS may be able to provide a more recent experience in dealing with this.

I just looked at my email confirmation and this is what it says..

Advance Payment
Because this reservation requires an advance payment, a credit card guarantee allows you to hold the reservation and pay upon arrival using your Dining Plan. Your credit card will only be charged the cancellation fee if your party does not arrive for the reservation.

My cc was not charged, but I have the dining plan so it's assuming I'm using two credits for it. Which I'm not, I'll be paying oop when we get there.
