We have rented points for a trip to BWV 9/26-10/3 and are wondering... I understand that Ultimate Park Hoppers can be purchased in advance at a small discount by anyone staying at a Disney Resort. I also understand, from what I've read here on the board that DVC members and their renting guests can get a discount on UPH's.

My question is this, if the latter is true, must these be purchased inadvance to get the member discount, or should we go ahead and call the BW and purchase them at the regular discount??

Also, how can I find out how much the discount is??

They cannot be purchased in advance for the DVC discount. As a renter you are not entitled to the discount, it is for members.
However, that being said, they will probably give you the discount which is 10% on the UPH.

You would not be able to purchase in advance if you wanted to. DVC almost always gives the members perks to renters even though the rules say otherwise.

Thanks Dean! Perhaps they feel as we do... potential new members. We have thought about it for some time, maybe this visit we'll "re-visit" that idea!

I'm sure that's part of it but it's really no skin off their nose or anyone else's for those meager benefits. I just suspect it's not worth them worrying about. Good luck and hopefully things will work out for you.
