Question about package deposit w/ airfare

I'm a bit confused about the $200 deposit since I booked the total package including air through Disney's online site.

Will my airline rates be held or can they fluctuate until the full package is paid?

I didn't see any extra "requirement" that the airline must be paid in full when walking through the booking procedure.

To my knowledge the air is paid in full when booked along with the package deposit. Unless it is group air with Disney and they take a deposit up front and balance with FP.

From what I recall, the airfare portion of the package wither has to be paid immediately, or maybe there can be a 24-hour courtesy hold. But either way, the airfare portion MUST be paid in full either immediately or within 24 hours.

Once paid for, your airfare will not fluctuate, because you already bought it. There's NO WAY Disney can have your airfare on a courtesy hold until 45 days prior to your trip (which is when the balance is due for packages).

For our December trip, I booked online and the fine print kept saying airfare has to be paid with the deposit. But for my package it was only showing the deposit as needing to be paid. I paid the deposit and emailed about whether our airfare was locked in. I was told it was, then a few weeks or a couple months later (?) we got a call saying it needed to be paid or airfare would go up. So I called and paid the airfare. You might want to call and get that taken care of.

OK, I called Disney to be certain of the deal. (Very nice CSR, BTW)

She said our flight was "bulk air" and could be paid over time.

Anyone know what's up with the bulk air? My guess is Disney buys up a certain number of seats on some flights for this purpose?

FWIW, Disney's cost was about $150 less than booking the flight straight through Delta.

I'm happy now.
