When you get tickets for 6pm are there a lot of preshow things such that you don't really get in until 7pm or something? I remember thinking we got to Dixie Stampede TOO early, wondered if this show similarly wanted you there way before show started. Thanks.

We haven't been yet...but this will give you a little lift to the top for some more info:)

(Do you have just the dinner tickets, or did you buy the unlimited pass?)

Thanks. I was going to buy the tickets the day of since its a little uncertain what time we will arrive. The website had 1.50 off the dinner show. That's all I was looking for right now, maybe the rest of it when the kids are a little older.

Not much pre-show if I recall correctly, we went to a 6 PM show in May of 05. I do remeber geting there early and just waiting in line (us and a couple other people) to get in.

By the way, the show is a hoot. DS (now 10) STILL talks about it.

My family consists of DH-50, me-47, DD-19, and her BF-23 (no younger children like yours). Do you think we'd enjoy it (keeping in mind that we're a pretty tame bunch! :teeth: )?

Thanks!

From what I've read, it sounds like a family friendly, high energy evening:)

We're planing to take our two boys - both 8, and the grandparents too:)

I think we'll enjoy it.

HTH!

We went to the dinner show in February - Me, DH, DFIL (age 73), and 3 DS ages 11, 13 and 17. We all LOVED it!! The show is very family oriented with both the comedy and magic being very well done. There was one act that had me laughing so hard I was crying! The food is only okay, but for all-you can-eat pizza and all-you-can-drink beer, wine or soda, it's fine with us.

We went to the later show and did have a bit of a wait while the first show cleared out. The first in line gets first choice of seats, so it pays to wait. It's a very small, no frills theater, and a GREAT VALUE for the price.

I ordered tickets through the Mousesavers link to Ticketmania. I only ordered the show tickets, but we received the combo tickets! The kids had a lot of fun in Wonderworks, too. I highly recommend this dinner show!

Yes, I think you will like it. It's goofy and fun, they play to the adults as well as kids. You will have fun.

We've done this too. My son was 9 at the time. I thought it was okay- I'm glad we did it. However, it is the sort of thing once you do it, you probably don't need to do it again. I don't remember any pre-show entertainment, but like someone said seating is picked via first in.
It was more comedy oriented than magic, and there was a lot of audience participation at our show- including myself.
I'm sure you'll like it. We had bought the combo ticket, it only took us about an hour to go through the rest of Wonderworks. I thought the rest was cheesy, but ds really liked it.

Update on this, we saw Outta Control a few nights ago. It was very fun. More comedy than magic but I laughed a lot. (could have been the wine which i found drinkable, a surprise, and refilled w/o asking). Service was good. They let us in to sit around 6:20 but it may have been b/c there were not many people there so they opened the doors later than usual. The pizza looked very nice but tasted below average (and I'm not that picky with pizza, even when its not that good, pizza generally, ain't that bad.) It had real potential with the crust but it was something in the sauce. We all had more popcorn than pizza and didn't finish the first one the gave us (party of 4). I would recommend the show, just don't go in famished. We also stayed at the Hilton Homewood suites which turned out to be w/in walking distance. Walked to Friendly's for ice cream afterwards and then back to the hotel, worked out well.

We went 2 years in a row. DS was 5 and 6. We sat in the same seats both years and DS was brought onto stage both times, both times it was the same trick..lol
We loved it. Pizza is not the best, popcorn was burnt, but beear, wine and pop was good. It was a very good evening thig to do. It was puring rain both nights we went. But definately get there early so you can get a good seat!
