Question about ordering LE pins

I am new to pin collecting and have a question. I was on the Disney pin event site where they list the new LE pins coming out. It says that you can order them through Disney merchandising. Are they available on the day they come out to order or is there a waiting period?

According to the information on the Disney website, there is a 30-day delay between release and mail order availability for LE pins.
