Question about old tickets

I have old tickets from before the AK park opened. These are 5 day all in one hopper tickets. They each have 2 days left on them. My question is, are they still valid for the water parks? I think that these tickets did not use the current 'plus' terminology for the water parks, but were simply valid for 5 days at any of the available parks. I know that I can have the tickets checked at the guest services once I get to the parks, but I am trying to determine how many new tickets I need to buy. If these still are valid at the water parks, I would not need to purchase the plus tickets for my next trip. Does anyone remember what the rules were at the time these tickets were on sale. The date on the back of the tickets is 12-97. I had misplaced the tickets on my last trips and recently re discovered them.

I'm not sure how to answer your question, but I'll share my experience:

We bought 7-day hoppers in our local military base. They happened to have 1997 dates on them, even though we went in early 1999.

We went to PI one night, assuming this was a "plus". Instead, it took one day off our pass. When we attempted to enter Epcot the next day, of course we couldn't get through the turnstiles.

But we went to guest services, and were cheerfully given one-day tickets for the day used up by our visit to PI. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way for you to know before you actually arrive at WDW what remains on the tickets.

Yes they are still valid. All-in-ones were not the ones that had the 7 day water park limitation. Those were the World Hopper passports.

The All-In-One Passport was good for *only* the number of days purchased on the ticket - 5 in your case. So a 5-day All-In-One would get you into 6 parks (MK, EC, MGM, BB, TL and PI. It also used to let you into River Country and Discovery Island before they closed) with all the park hopping you want between the major and minor parks for 5 days. Unused days never expired.

Thanks, I thought that they were just that, good for five days for any of the parks. I think the current 'plus' tickets really get you more days, if you use the plus feature on days that you don't enter the major parks, but that the tickets I had were going to be good. It will save me quite a bit of money. thanks:Pinkbounc

We used them for Blizzard Beach and Pleasure Island in the same day. That worked out well for us. (We had AP's for the 4 main parks, but I don't think we went in to them that day.) We probably wouldn't have gone to PI without that all-in-one feature.
