Question about 'Ohana

My youngest is very picky and I don't think there is a single thing he will eat here (he might try the chicken and steak, but definitely none of the sides). What are my options for him there? What else would they be able to give him? Thanks!

I don't know how young, but I've heard they may bring him something from the kids menu at kona. Maybe someone else can elaborate because I haven't personally experienced this.

I have been told that they will allow children to order from the kids menu at Kona, but I haven't been yet to try it out and see. Still, it's worth looking into!

We have been there before when the server offered something different for my son instead of the regular things. We didn't have a menu, she just mentioned a few different options, I mainly remember chicken nuggets and maybe peanut butter and jelly, not sure on that though. I'm pretty sure my son ordered chicken nuggets.

IIRC they brought out chicken nuggets and, I think, mac and cheese. Once my kids got a taste of the shrimp and noodles they didn't want anything else but shrimp and noodles.

It's hit or miss for us. We've been there 4 times in the past 3 years. Once the server brought out mac & cheese and chicken nuggets before adult food even came. We did not ask, they just sent it. Another time we asked and it took a long time and only chicken nuggets were delivered. We have never been given a menu to select from.

My youngest will eat some of the pork. Neither of my kids will eat anything else, not even the bread :) Oh DD likes the ice cream from the dessert too. Didn't care for the bread pudding or sauce! :faint:

We eat at 'Ohana every trip and have never had any problems getting something else for my picky eaters. They have had grilled cheese, chicken breast nuggets, mac and cheese and I believe a cheeseburger all served with fries. This has been over the past 3-4 years. Their food has always come out pretty quickly and we have never had a problem. My kids love 'Ohana and consider it a must do every trip even though they do not eat the food on the menu.

I have a picky eater. They decided to try some of the foods offered, and the only thing they didn't like was dessert. Now O'Hana is a tradition and one of their favorites

I don't think there is an actual menu, but the servers will offer items such as mac & cheese and chicken nugget. The kids will be charged the 'Ohana kids' price.

Yup, when I went my DD2 was fussy and exhausted (long park day, 8:30 reservation...cranky toddler) and while she's not normally a finicky eater, our waitress kept bringing us "kiddy" foods to see if we could get some food in her so she'd fall asleep. The Mac n' cheese worked and I was very grateful to that waitress!

Thanks everyone! I know he will eat chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, and french fries. So it sounds like he will have options if he doesn't want any of the regular stuff. I can't wait!

My youngest daughter got Mac and cheese there!
