Question about occupancy

Hi everyone!

I hope to get some help regarding this issue. We will be going to WDW in September and staying at the Poly. There are 5 of us in the room currently, Dad, sister, myself, and one of my nieces (age 8) and one nephew (age 5). My other niece who has developmental and physical delays will be turning 3 a few days before we get there. At first we weren't going to bring her because we were afraid of over stimulation so she was going to stay home with Dad, no the therapists say it would be GREAT for her to come. She is very tiny, she will still be sleeping in a crib (she will be for at least another year or two). Ok OK...here's the question

Even though she is technically 3, can she still stay in our room (she would make 6), 5 sleeping in beds and her in a crib....Obviously I would want her to have a park hopper ticket and dining with the rest of us.

Do you think Disney will nix it because she is 3 and not "supposed" to be in a crib?

This is an unusual circumstance and you may be best off dealing directly with guest services on this one. I think that Disney will work with you to make this work.

You could call WDW Special Reservations (the people who handle special needs). If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES Board, you will find a phone number to contact them in the disABILITIES FAQs thread located near the top of the board.

WDW is a great place for anyone with disabilities. There are ways to deal with overstimulation - like staying in the parks for a shorter time and taking breaks. From MK, it's very easy to hop the monorail back to the Poly or one of the other MK resorts. That's a good way to get into a less stimuating environment for a while. There are lots of people on the disABILITIES Board who would be able to give you some advice.
