Question about not going to dinner!

Yes, the servers like phone cards too. We almost always include them in the tip envelopes, and when we have gone back and seen the same servers, many have commented about them. Most of them have family and friends back home in other countries, and that gives them a chance to say "hi."

Yes, the telephone cards are always nice things to get, as it is very expensive for the CM's to ring home. However, the majority of Servers are just happy to get a reasonable tip, as most of them have bills to pay back home - or families to support.
A big THANK YOU to all of you who are appreciative of your CM's hard work! :Pinkbounc Nat

that's an excellent point you made about letting the servers know if you will not attend dinner the next evening....we always do out of courtesy....

We'd never skip one of the dinners on the Magic! They are just too special. But if something unexpected came up, how can you get word to your servers that you won't be there? Just stop by and tell someone to give them a message? Call guest services? I'd never thought about it before.
