Has anyone been able to transfer a deposit that was made on another credit card to the new Disney Visa card without having to cancel their reservation? I want to be able to take advantage of the 0% APR, but the entire amount must be charged to the new visa.

Thanks!

I believe another poster said they were able to transfer their deposit to the new card without making a whole new reservation.

I am bummed because my final payment is due real soon and Visa told me my card was mailed out on the 2nd....still have not received it!!!

MJ, Boy can I relate! My final payment (all except the deposit) is due this weekend but since the travel agency office is closed on the weekends I guess I should take care of it this afternoon. I was told yesterday that my card was mailed on Monday and I'm thinking I should get it for sure today or tomorrow. It's not like it will be a whole lot in Disney Visa points but every little bit helps. My mail has been running LATE and it's almost 3pm and it still hasn't come yet. Oh well, no real big deal!

I got my new Disney Visa last week, and it specifically says that any balance transfers will not earn any points toward Disney. I don't know if balance transfers will work for the 0% financing, but I have a different BankOne visa with a one-year 0% (not the Disney card) and they did allow me to transfer what I had deposited toward our next cruise from my old visa to the new one at 0%, but I had to transfer the total amount that was one that card. It was all only cruise related anyway. Hope this helps a little.

Well...my card finally came today....but the only problem is I asked for a card for both hubby and me, but they only sent one card with his name on it. Time to get on the phone for the other card!!! It's a cute card, though!!!

I was so disappointed when DH got his new Disney Visa and I didn't get one! He sure has rubbed it in my face too!

I called today. I guess they had problems and the "additional cardholder" didn't get theirs, but they are aware of the problem and are working to send out those additional cards.

Sure wish I had that card when I booked our DCL trip. Because we were using part points and part cash, it was required to be paid immediately with cash or credit card. I could have loaded up on Disney rewards!!!! and 6 months to pay!!!

I agree the card is really cute!

I booked with DU and put my deposit down last Friday with AmEx. When I got home from work, waiting for me was the new Disney Credit Card. So I wrote to DU and asked them to refund AmEx and charge Disney instead. No problem, DU provides excellent service.

When I called about my missing card they told me the additional cards were being sent under a separate mailing and I shoud get mine today or Monday.

I had charged my deposit on my Discover, when I got my Disney card I called my TA who called Disney. They refunded my Discover and charged the deposit to my new Disney Visa. TA said that I must had been the first one to do this cause it took them forever and they had to call in 2 Disney Supers to get it done. She also said that it was note on my ressies. So now I only have to pay off my balance with my new Disney Visa to get the $50. onboard credit.

thanks for all the responses. I emailed DU and they transferred the deposit to my visa without any problems. They are just great.

How long ago had you paid your deposit? I charged mine
a few months ago on a different card through AAA. I received
my Disney card last week and would LOVE to be able to transfer my deposit.....but was afraid it was too far in the past.

thanks!

I booked the cruise about 2 weeks ago. I still think you can get your deposit refunded and charged to your new card. It never hurts to ask.
