We are planning on staying at the BC from 6/12-6/17. I booked the reservation a few months ago when the spring discount was released. I got 30% room discount for 6/12-6/15 and planned to pay rack rate for the last 2 nights. They just released the summer discounts. When I called to apply it to 6/15-6/17, the CM said they only way I could get a discount for these night was to split my stay into 2 separate reservations which would require another set of park tickets and a new dining plan, and possibly a room change. Does this sound right? :confused3

Yes. The CM was correct. You cannot book a stay with two different discounts, even if only one discount applies to the actual days of your stay. They would have to be booked as separate reservations. That being said, you should do the math to see if the room discount would save more than paying for your food OOP for the 15-17. You can leave your tickets the same and just pay OOP for your food if the discount on the room is better than having the DDP.

Yup - I'd do the math to determine if paying Out of Pocket for the food on the last 2 days would justify getting the room discount. Depending on which dining plan you are doing and where/when you are eating I'll make a bet that's you'd break even paying OOP vs on the dining plan. That would make it worthwhile to take the room discount.

You can then get the exact number of park days you need with the first package and not bother with any tickets on the second reservation. And since you are in a room several days before your reservation changes I'll bet the hotel will work with you to do their best at keeping you in the same room.

as an other option you can choose between the discount and select the one which you find better.
