If you purchase a 1-day base ticket to get a discount, what are the expiration rules? Or, put another way, when do the 14 days start to run? Can you just not use it and take it home with you and then use it on a future trip to visit one park on one day?

I think if you buy it as part of a package, it expires 14 days from when your package starts. I don't think you can add non-expire to a 1 day pass.

Maybe someone else can confirm this, but I'm pretty sure.

I am under the impression that the one day ticket never expires. I've read several postings that AP holders are doing this since they already have AP's, but wanted to take advantage of specials like the free dining offer from September. To get that offer, they had to buy at least a one day ticket.

You can apparently save it for another trip at any time in the future and possibly even upgrade it to multi-day park hopper or AP if you'd like.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Thanks,
Mav

Maybe you're right, Maverick. It could be that the multi-day passes expire 14 days from when you first use/activate them. And since you wouldn't be using the one day pass, it will be good forever. That makes more sense, actually!
