Question about Myspace...

I'm wondering if you guys can help. I keep getting emails from myspace.com saying I have a new message from **insert name here**. I have never had a myspace account nor does anyone in my household.

Does this mean that someone registered and is using my email address on myspace? And is that legal?

Oh, I forgot to mention, I tried doing a search on myspace to find my email addy and it doesn't come up with anything.

go to www.myspace.com and do search by email address and see what pops up when you put in yours.

Is it at all possible that someone in your house signed up on myspace and used your email address and you don't know about it?

I have a myspace account and those are the same types of emails I get if someone sends me a message there.

You need to be careful if you are clicking on the links in the email and you DO have an account on myspace. A lot of scammers out there are just trying to get your password and once you enter it on their "scam link", they have your info. Always make sure the link just says www.myspace.com and even run your mouse over the link to ensure that the link is really what it says it is.

Go straight to myspace.com and on the main page, click on the link that says "forgot your password". It will take you to a page that you put in your email address and they will email you your password.

Do that, get the password, and then go back to it again and log in (your log in "ID" is your email address).
