My family is going to Caribbean Beach Resort and is getting there a few days before I will. My wife and kids are taking the Disney shuttle to the hotel. When I fly in, my plane gets in around 11 PM and I will need to get from MCO to the hotel. We plan to move to a Univeral Hotel the next day, but will spend that last night at the Caribbean Beach Resort.
Should I just take a taxi to the hotel from the airport? My name is not on the reservation, will I have any problem getting to the hotel? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you're name is not on the reservation then you cannot use ME (the Disney Shuttle). I'm not sure you're even supposed to stay in the hotel room without registering. You might want to check into that because of safety issues (fire code, etc.).

You can always go down to the ground transportation level (1) at MCO, head to the Mears counter and pay for a ride on their bus/van. You may be put on a DME bus to CBR, but may also be on a regular Mears bus or van.
The cost is about $20...much cheaper than a cab and not a bad way to get to your resort.
Not going into the whole room occupancy issue here.

Thanks for the responses!

Because I am getting in late at night, I am a bit concernec about taking too long to get to CBR. Would taking Mears be a lot longer trip than taking a taxi?

Note: Mears' shuttle may or may not make several stops along the way before arriving at your resort.

The only issue taking the Mears shuttle is that it does tend to make other stops along the way, at non-Disney resorts/hotels. But since you're heading to a Disney owned resort, you may very well be put on the DME bus going to that resort. But, then again, that, too, will make other stops.
A cab or car service will be your quickest option.
