When we go to WDW next summer my DD4 will be 3 weeks away from turning 5. She watches the Disney Planning DVD every chance she gets and everytime she see's the roller coasters she says she can't wait to get on them.(she's very adventurous!) My DD4 is 42 inches tall now, so I know she'll be tall enough to get on but I wondered if there was anyone else here who has/had a DD4 who got on those rides without any problems. I don't plan to let her get on before riding the more milder rides first but I'm just curious to know how other DD4 or DD5 handled them.

Hi there...we just returned from WDW and my 41 inch DD3 rode all the 40 inch rides except Tower of Terror and loved them all. As a matter of fact, my very adventurous DD says Splash Mountain was her favorite ride and I bet we rode it about 10 times. She also loved Big Thunder Mountain and I know she would have loved ToT if not for the sort of scary factor which is why we didn't ride that one. I can't wait for her to be tall enough for Space Mountain and she personally, after watching the WDW Info chanel all week long, can't wait to be tall enough to ride Rockin Roller Coaster, lol.

My DD3 (month from 4) went on Goofy's Barnstormer first (at ToonTown Fair). We did this to see the reaction. It was good. We had to ride it like 10 more times over the next 3 days.

We decided to give Big Thunder Mountain Railroad a try as my DD was exactly 40" tall. She loved it!

She also loved Splash Mountain.

She thought Test Track was OK but would prefer to shop with mom while brother (6) and dad rode it.

She hasn't been on any other roller coasters but looks forward to riding those again this week.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for posting you guys! :earsboy: I hope my DD4 enjoy those rides just as much.

In Jan my DD, who had just turned 5 at the end of Nov., loved Big Thunder Mountain, declaring it to be her favorite ride. She is now nearly 6 and we just returned from our latest trip on Sat. and she tried Space Mountain for the first time and loved it, too. She then decided that she was ready for the Rock-n-Roller coaster (she is very tall -- 48" exactly without shoes). We didn't think she was ready but I think she wanted to keep up with her big brother. Anyway, she rode it 3 times and it is now her favorite ride. And she hates the scary type rides (Tower of Terror, Dinosaur) but somehow does not think going upside down is scary!!!

My DH and I can't wait for the day when the kids can ride RNR on their own--it gives us headaches!!!

My DD was 4 the last time we went, was tall enough and rode everything except Rock N Roller coaster and Space Mountain. I think they would have been too much for her. (Space Mountain would have been OK if I could have put my arms around her, but not with the single seats.)
