Question about MVMCP

I am planning (dreaming) a future trip when the Christmas decorations are up in the parks. I am wondering about the MVMCP.

I have two kiddos that would probably be 6 and 3. I'm trying to get an opinion on the party - dancing, parades, fireworks, etc. Is it something better enjoyed when they are a little older? Or, is it really good for the younger crowd? And, how late does everyone stay? Is it worth a late night?

Thanks!!

Like most things Disney, the parties can be enjoyed on different levels at different ages.

Let them grow up more the fireworks Re later and most kids were tired and sleeping in their strollers let them grow up and enjoy christmas traditions and learn about santa first and they'll LOVE it

That was the way I was leaning, but I wanted to make sure I was on the right track! I know there will be more trips in the future... Now I have to be the patient one!:rotfl2:

I'll go the other route on this issue. My kids thoroughly enjoyed MVMCP at that age. First time we went was when they were 5 and 3 and they loved it. I think the key here is that on the day you're planning the MVMCP have your kiddos sleep a little later that day. Maybe hang out at the pool for a while and then go to the park around 4. Maybe setup a dinner ressie at Crystal Palace and then let the day crowd clear out. Have them go ride some of their favorite rides, catch the early parade and then watch the fireworks. After that see how they're holding up. If they are ok maybe re-visit some of their favorite rides or go to one of the character dance party areas while the second parade is going on, otherwise call it a night

I would say the simple fact that the party ends at midnight means it is probably better enjoyed by the older crowd. Not that there isn't plenty to be enjoyed by all ages. But at the price tag, it seems like a waste unless you can stay later into the night. If the price isn't an issue, then I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think it's worth 70 dollars a head just for a parade and fireworks though.

I think the party is fun, but honestly not worth the price tag. I am 5'0" tall and I could not see the parade nor the stage shows. Yes you can wait 1+ hours for a good spot, but then you are using up your limited party time standing around. Unless you are really into the unique character meet and greets that only happen during the party, I would save your money and just enjoy the Christmas decorations that are free, the Osborne Lights, and the Castle lighting show. No extra charge for those! And you can make your own hours and not worry about keeping your children up so late.

If you want to see a video of the party including the parade and what little I could see of the stage show its in my vlog here:

If you want to hear my day after review it's in this video:

Next time try watching the parade from Frontierland. Walked up for a great spot at the rope about 15 minutes before the second parade.

Thanks for the help and videos. I will have to check them out tonight after work.

Sounds like it's a good idea to wait for everyone to be a little older. Or, just skip it all together.

Thanks again!!
