Question about MVMCP and Wishes!

Hey,

I've looked at previous threads and couldn't find it, or may have overlooked a similar post, but I was wondering how different is the MVMCP fireworks show to Wishes?

I'm wondering because we're going to MVMCP on the 18th and while we're there, Wishes is only being done on the 17th and 19th. So, if the MVMCP is not the same thing, we are planning on going back one night to see Wishes.

So, does anyone know if the MVMCP fireworks show is the same as Wishes? All I can find is that it's a themed version of Wishes. Would you recommend both the MVMCP fireworks show and Wishes?

We've never seen Wishes (except online) and definitely want that to be a part of this vacation. But we don't want to spend two nights watching the same fireworks show.

It was the same as Wishes with a 'special' ending but who knows this year. They changed the Halloween fireworks; they could have changed the MVMCP fireworks too.

I heard that they were changing it this year to a holiday theme.

For the upcoming Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney will unveil all new special edition versions of the Wishes firework show. Disney is once again calling on Steven Davison and Eric Tucker, the award winning pyro-technician who has previously worked on Reflections of Earth and Wishes, to design the pyrotechnics displays for the new shows. The special editions will also feature new musical tracks.

last year there were much more red and green...we went to MVMCP and also stayed at WL and every night of the party we could see the fireworks!

We went last year and I had not planned on seeing the regular Wishes because of going to MVMCP...but there were things missing from the Holiday Wishes that go with the regular Wishes that made me change my plans and to see Wishes later in the week.
