If you have connecting rooms, do you need to leave a tip in each room? We are two adults and four kids.
Thanks!

I would also say yes. I remembering reading a post where they said they had connecting rooms but they had two different mousekeepers.

By the way, does anybody have the link to print those cute little mousekeeping tip envelopes? I had it but can't find it. Heading out to the CBR in 3 weeks and wanted to print out something special for our mousekeeper.

I hate to hijack this thread but I wanted to ask a follow up type question regarding tipping mousekeeping. I typically only tip when I request a special service from housekeeping in a normal hotel (and I travel alot) Typically, because we are not in the room that often in WDW we typically do not tip mousekeeping. What is the typical amount that most of you tip per night?

It depends, I tip about $3 a day or less. But there is only two of us in the room & not much mess. But I think some tip base on how many people in the room or how messy they are. Some don't tip at all. But we do. :)

I travel quite a bit and leave a tip at every hotel I stay at. I very rarely ask for anything from the staff.

I tip $2-3 per day per person.

I usually tip a $1.00 to $2.00 per day per person. Sometimes, I tip a little more. If I have lots of change accumulated, I'll leave all the change and that adds up to quite a bit.

There are a few sites that have envelopes for mousekeepers if you do a Google search for "mousekeeping envelopes"

Here is one that we have used before:

If the link does not post properly, go to themouseforless dot com :)

I believe that average housekeeping tips is $1-$2 per person. We generally do $5 for the 2 of us, but that's definately higher than the norm.

Alot of people don't think to tip housekeeping because it's usually a non-tipped/hourly wage job (though usually a low hourly wage/minimum wage). People often like to leave a little extra for their hard work. Although we always tip housekeeping, we usually budget it in last, after we've made sure to set aside enough for tipped positions (servers, bell hops, etc...)

Do what you feel is right! :goodvibes It is considered a "non-tipping" Disney position, so tipping is not mandated, it is simply voluntary. I plan to leave $1.00, per person, per day (unless there is something special done by the mousekeeper, like a towel animal... we will leave more). Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes
