Question about month of joining

How exactly does the month of use work? If your month is February, does that mean that on Feb. 1st you can call and reserve for Christmas since it is 11 months out? If you have points from one year that are carried over for the next year, can you borrow from the 3rd year to have LOTS of points? If you join at BWV and Vero can you combine the points to use at only one resort? Thanks!!

Your Use Year is simply the month when your points are renewed each year. It will determine your banking schedule also. It can have some ramifications if you have to cancel a reservation- especially on short notice.

It has nothing to do with when you can make a reservation.

Reservations may be made at your home resort (using Home Resort points only) at 11 months. Points from other resorts may be used to reserve at 7 months.

You may bank points from the current Use Year into the next to be combined for reservation use. You may also borrow points from the following Use Year to make a reservation.
