Question about MNSSHP

I asked this on another thread but I think it got missed in among the replies. So, can anyone answer me please.

Am I right in thinking the MNSSHP ticket is not in addition to normal park entrance, ie, you don't have to use a day ticket in addition to your MNSSHP ticket for entry?

You are right Joh (as long as you realise it doesn't give you admission at 9am LOL)

Think the party starts at 7? But people say you can get in from approx 4pm onwards with your MNSSHP ticket (I think it's 4pm or so)

Thanks Miffy - it's not a definite that we're going to do it but DH might be a bit more amenable if he realises we don't have to pay out for the tickets on top of a day's entry to the park. I know the girls would love it though so hope he agrees.

We did MNSSHP in 2003 and they let you into the park about 4 o'clock. We were able to do what we liked until about 7 when they moved all the people attending MNSSHP into Tomorrowland. That way they could empty the people who were not attending and get the park ready for the party.

It was a fab evening and if you get a chance Joh I would recommend it. We went on the 31st and it was just wonderful.

We also went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal and it was out of this world. Although I would say MNSSHP is geared more towards childred whereas HHN is definetly for the adults.

I was actually wondering about HHN - my girls will be 12 and 13, do you think they're too young. I've read lots about it being unsuitable for kids but as they're that bit older I'm not sure whether they'd be OK. Although, after my Skull Kingdom experience, I'm not sure if I could hack it - as far as I understand it, the Haunted Houses are quite similar to SK.

Joh, I have no personal experience of this so please treat this with a pinch of salt - but I have heard that grown ups have been pretty frightened by the HHNs, LOL. I guess it depends on your DDs?

Joh go for it!! There's nothing like being chased around a park by pyschos with chainsaws!! Honestly we have attended 3 HHN + a Howl O Scream at BG,the first DS was 6-he loved it ! although he was easy meat for the CMs. Being scared is all part of the fun otherwise it would be no different to MNSSHP (which is also a great night but like chalk & cheese compared to HHN ). Although I prefered HHN when they just used US,when it's in IOA you also get the chance to do Hulk,DD etc.. in the dark(well minimal lights) which is great fun. Be aware though it will be busy,very busy & unlike WDW they serve alcohol - On our last visit there were plenty of "smashed" people but there were also plenty of security & police in attendance so we didn't see any trouble.
