Question about Mears shuttle vs. Taxi

Their website doesn't explain very much.

if you get the shuttle - will you be picking up people at other hotels and stuff? And/or dropping off at other locations? Or does it just pick up people at your hotel and goes straight to where you're going to (i.e. Universal). And I saw on the FAQ thread here that adults are $18 and it says kids pay children's fare but it doesn't say how much children are?

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth paying a little extra for taxis. According to their cab fare estimator it's $44/each way (that's a lot. How far away is Universal anyways???)

Yes, the Mears shuttle will fill up before you leave and then pick up and drop off along the way. So a half an hour trip can easily be an hour. I feel it is much more worthwhile to take a cab.
