Are there no buffets on board? My DS (15) is a big eater. I was hoping there would be a buffet dinner with some seafood choices that he could feast on.

yes the is a buffet on deck 9 and as i have learned in the passporter guide you can order more then just the one meal. if im wrong there are others that will correct me.

There was no buffet dinner on board the Wonder in Aug. I do not know about the Magic, but we would have liked one on the wonder. There where lunch and breakfast buffets as well at dinner you could order anything you want and as much of it as you want.

Don't worry about getting enough food! If you ever want more of something, even another whole entree, just ask your servers and they'll happily fulfill your request!

You can order as much food as you want in the dining rooms. I've seen people order one of EACH dessert. I have ordered 2 entrees. I've also had the waiter bring "extra" when he thought I should try something that I didn't order.

Also, if you get something and you don't like it, don't hesitate to order something else. If you go hungry on a cruise, it is your own fault!

Think of the dining rooms as a stay in your seat buffet.

They will bring you anything you want.

Most nights I did two appetizers and a soup before my entree.

Frequently we'd order a couple of extra entrees for the table to share.

One night I had just finished my prime rib and our server asked me how I had enjoyed it. I said it was excellent. He responded that I absolutely must have another and presented me with another prime rib dinner.

We made our own dessert bar each night with everyone ordering two or three desserts and then everyone sharing.

And the little appetizer and pizza "mini-buffets" they have set up after dinner!

Just a little warning about room service, if you order from them a lot, they will call you (by name in fact) to make sure that everything is excellent (see Ann that word again ;) ) When we went on our three day cruise this past summer, I can't tell you the number of times we ordered room service. A seven day shall be interesting!

Gosh wasn't it just one non-stop buffet on the 7 day cruise? I don't remember NOT eating. :p We actually skipped the Topsiders seafood buffet since we engorged ourselves with seafood at Palo (King Crab and Stone Crab claws!). I heard they had crawfish at the Topsiders one, but man... I don't think I had any more room for seafood that day...

In the main dining areas, we almost had to beg our server not to bring "extra" food we didn't order since we were so stuffed. Our server wanted us to "try" a few more items.... or was just trying to kill us with food overdose! LOL don't worry about being hungry on a DCL ship. Worry more about fitting into your pants afterwards!
