Question about ME departure from resort

We have a trip planned for the first week in December. Our first night (Saturday) we'll be staying at All-Star Movies and taking ME over to the resort. The next morning (Sunday) we're checking into Beach Club Villas. What I wanted to know is if ME will allow me (alone) to ride back to the airport to pick up a rental car we have booked from Sunday-Sunday. Technically I'm checking out but not checking in with a flight. Does that matter with magical express? Just wondered, thanks.

You can make arrangements to take DME back to MCO to pick up a rental car. That is done all the time. I usually find a flight that has a departure time that is 2.5 hrs after the time I need to be there to get my car...for instance, if I have to be there to get my car at 11am, I give the flight info for a flight that departs at about 1ish.

Have you looked into renting through Alamo/National?? You can pick up a car right at the Dolphin, next to BCV.

Relating to the above response, there are some posts here about really good rates renting from the Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom - also Alamo/National - and they'll pick you up onsite with at least an hour's notice.

My own experience using Magical Express to get back to the airport to pick up a rental car was that simply explaining my intent to the CM, along with the approximate time I'd like to be at the airport, was sufficient. I didn't need to provide a flight number or return time (although in a pinch, I could have used my actual, following week return information).

Good to know it's possible. My original intent was to book using priceline since I could probably get a better deal. I'll look to see if on site could get a me a good deal as well though. Thanks for the replies.

FYI -
We rented a car over at the Dolphin (we just went to a park and got on the bus for the hotel) and returned it there. But you could always find out if you could return it at the airport.
