Question About Marrakesh Belly Dancers...

Do they belly dancers come up to your table - or is it more of a situation where they are on a stage or something?

There is a stage in the middle of the restaurant. She may go up to tables surrounding the stage.

She may also invite children to come to the "stage" and dance with her.

Only at WDW will you see Alice in Wonderland and a Belly dancer on the same stage!LOL

It is all very chaste. The belly dancers at WDW have some of the most conservative belly dancer costumes that I have ever scene at a Morracan restaurant. I have been to some (non WDW) restaurants that have very suggestive dancers and dances. There actions I am sure would never be tolerated at WDW. The show is pretty short and non-offensive to the average American.

I'd like to know where I can go to see the suggestive belly dancers!!! We were there for lunch. There was no stage. The belly dancer danced in a very large open dance floor in the middle and danced over to most tables. When I had my camera out, she paused in a pose by our table so I could take a photo. She also motioned to children to come onto the dance floor too. A brother and sister joined her and belly danced with her -- it was fun to watch. Not busy when we were there. The music was excellent.

And our server and food was outstanding. I want to go back next trip!

There is a dance floor in the middle of the restaurant - there are tables around the dance floor and up higher depending on where you are sitting. We had a table next to the dance floor - she didn't come up to our table but did come near and encouraged our 15 month old to get up and dance around. But no she didn't come up to any of the tables.

She came up to our table, we were right next to the dance floor. She clapped her hands and motioned for our DDs to join her. They did. The video of our (then) 4 year old twins trying to belly dance like her is priceless to us.

The bellydancer performs on the dance floor in the center of the room.Kids are invited up to dance with her too.She may dance near the tables by the dance floor, but she does not go throughout the restaurant dancing.

when were you there? my twins(brother and sister) dance a lot with her. we were there in oct and april/may last year

we LOVE this place! My son has a crush on the dancer and she has given him a promo pic with a kiss on it for him. (my son was 12 at the time)

Mon. Oct. 26, 2009 at 12:30pm. The brother and sister dancing did look about the same age, somewhere around 11 - 12. They showed no shyness about dancing with her! My DS4 was not about to go on the dance floor though....

I want to go back again next trip. Definitely fun for lunch.

Bummer, we were in WDW oct 3- oct 13 thought maybe you had scored a picture of us..so cool if that happens
