It has a link for trackshack to send in proofs of time. If we sent in proofs of time with our registration (mailed in cause of DVC discount) do we need to send in another proof of time to trackshack? Thanks!

I wouldn't think you would need to resend it. Worst case you can bring your proof of time with you at packet pickup and if they have you in the wrong canal they will move you.

I think you should be good. You might want to email them to find out for certain. If you don't get a response, bring in your proof and they will move you.

What if I can't remember what I submitted to them as my time? I only had to 13k to base it on when I registered. I am not sure if my 15k time averaged any better but if it did should I submit the new time? Also I am doing a 1/2 marathon Nov 9 - if I get a faster time then I submitted should I submit that or bring proof with me to packet pick up.

I'm guessing that by now you received this info:
PROOF OF TIME UPDATE!
Due to the overwhelming response to the notification regarding the Proof of Time deadline sent in the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend October Newsletter, we have added proof of time to the verification tool on disneyworldmarathon.com.

Please check the verification tool for your Proof of Time status. Many participants have previously submitted Proof of Time at the point of registration and do not need to submit it again. The verification tool will quickly tell you whether your proof of time has been “accepted, not required, or proof needed”. If information is incorrect, then please contact us regarding any discrepancies or submit your Proof of Time by the November 15 deadline.

If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon less than 2:45 hours and the Marathon less than 5:00 hours, proof of time is required.

Acceptable forms of proof of time are either a photocopy of finisher's certificate or a print out of race results. All forms of proof of time must be from a marathon, half marathon or any race 10K or longer, after July 1, 2006. If you do not provide of time you will be placed in the last start corral.

Corral placement is based on proof of time. If you are registered for Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge and did not provide proof of time, you will need to bring that proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booths after you pick up your race number and ChampionChip at the Health and Fitness Expo on Thursday, January 8, Friday, January 9, or Saturday, January 10, 2009. If no proof of time is provided, you will be placed in the last start corral.

This Link takes you to the verification page. I guess you weren't the only one asking.

The corrals that require proof of time are for those faster and able to prove that they can get out of there in a hurry.

Not required (me) will be placed after those speedy folks with proof of speed. Some are placed by estimated time of event completion. Otherwise I guess we will be placed by whatever method they use to allow some semblance of order for crossing the start line.

If it is a first event, your time doesn't begin until you cross the mat and you can catch up to speed as the crowd thins.

I'm hoping to run 2:20-2:30 but don't think I'll have anything to prove my time. I registered for a 10K at the end of November but I'm not sure if it's timed. So for now, I will be in the last corral :)

I submitted my proof of time the day the email came out--not showing up yet as being received. Guess I'll wait a week or so and see if they register it. I'd think it would be done by then, right?

I seem to have lost the newsletter email. :-(

Did you have to mail in the proof of time? Or was there an option to supply the proof through the initial registration online? Is it too late to mail in proof of time?

Hi,

You need to email it to disneysports@trackshack.com . Notice the deadline is 11/15(see below).

I got an email reply back from them, and they have me for a 5:00 marathon time, so I won't be in the last corral. :-D

Well, since I didn't do my half until 11/16 I am going to take a chance and try to send it today. We will see what happens. If it doesn't work I can always change it there it sounds like.
