Question about Magic Band and annual pass holder

I am an AP holder, I signed up to My Experience with all of my dining reservations for my entire party. Can I only get a magic Band for myself since I'm the only one with AP. Or would it be available for my entire party since they are included on my reservations? Thanks for the help.

If the other members of your party are AP holders, they can get one, or if someone is staying on site. Their APs would have to be linked either to their own MDE accounts, or yours.

If you're all off site, then no. Only AP holders and on site stays are getting MBs right now.

I'm assuming you're staying off site from your post?

Only Disney resort guests and annual pass holders are eligible for Magic Bands currently, so if your guests are neither, they won't have a MB. They will have RFID enabled park tickets though.

That's what I figured buy I just wanted to check, unfortunatly, unless I plan on going on the rides myself, a magic band for myself is useless, since the rest of my family can't get one. Correct, we are staying off site. Thanks so much for the quick response!

They don't need one. They can use their tickets while they are in the park to make or access FP+ reservations.

You just won't be able to book anything for them ahead of time. And apparently even that is beginning to change, with some offsite guests who are not annual passholders being given invitations to book ahead.

I've had good luck with booking our FP+ for the those with MB and then "matching" them in the park. At least overlapping has always been available.

The big ones though you will likely be out of luck (i.e. TSMM)
