Question about LMT (Last Minute Travel) membership

I cannot edit the title for some reason to reflect that I am talking about LMTClub which requires a membership not just LMT.
So I signed up for a 1 year free membership and now I'm a bit hesitant about purchasing my DL tickets from them because I worry that if I give my CC info they will then automatically renew my membership when my 1 year runs out.
Does anyone know if they do that?

Also does anyone know if I could maybe buy a Visa prepaid gift card could I then use it to purchase the tickets so that MY CC info is not on there for them to potentially bill?

Great question! I hope someone knows the answer.

Their user agreement is a little confusing on this topic, but I found this to be the most concrete evidence that it will NOT renew automatically:

Unless LastMinuteTravel Club elects not to renew your Membership, you will be reminded thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of your Membership to renew it. If you do not renew your Membership, you will receive an additional email reminder 7 days prior to the expiration of your Membership. If you do not renew your Membership by the expiration date, your Membership will expire.

I'm not sure that the membership is just for a year. I found a promo code to join almost two years ago and they have never asked me to renew my membership!

I joined years ago and have never been charged.

Does this just mean you have not been charged automatically to renew or you've never even had to renew your membership?
Do you buy DL tickets from them?
Everything seems legit to you?

I bought DL tickets from them and never paid to join anything. Did you have to pay to Join?

Membership is $50 but I found a free code.
I was just concerned that if I buy tickets and they have my credit card info they would renew my membership automatically thus charging the $50 membership fee.

For LMT you do not need to join, for LMTClub you do (but there is usually a code floating around for a free trial). I did the free trial years ago and have bought tickets and booked hotels. I have never had to pay the membership fee and they do have my cc on file. I even thought it had expired but I was able to use it after not using it for about a year.

I also joined with a free code years ago and my membership is still active.

Yes sorry I do mean LMT-Club and I realized my msitake right after I posted this thread but when I try to edit the title it keeps saying this website no longer exists. Very odd.

I never paid, must have joined years ago? In any event, it worked, I got a great deal on our tickets and they came really fast to my email. Using them in a few short weeks!

LMT club is definitely legit. I joined several years ago with a code; I've never paid a renewal fee, nor do they ever ask for renewal. Perhaps if you pay for a membership it's different. We've used tickets from there several times with zero issues. They usually have the best prices as well (although not always.)

Interesting! I got a free membership last year. It's not up for renewal yet (I think maybe August or Sept) so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
