Question about lines...how bad is waiting, really?

Heads Up is a game-changer in terms of line waiting. Plus smart phones in general! I won't do more than 20-30 minutes with kids, but an hour with hubby is totally doable.

With 2 adults, it should be no issue at all, spend the time talking to each other, planning your next ride, talking about a meal you have just had. Life is so rushed all the time, it's kinda nice to just have an hour of nothing where you can actually speak to your loved ones.

What a wonderful perspective! :goodvibes

I live in Ohio and at our amusement parks (Kings Island and Cedar Point) it's not unusual to wait 1 or 2 hours, sometimes longer, for rides. So I guess I am used to it. Its not very pleasant, especially in the heat. I have no Disney experience yet, but I imagine if you are doing rides with shorter waits and other things in between it won't be so bad. Plus just some quality time with the hubs could be fun! :)
Ugg - it's STILL that bad at KI? I haven't been in 10 years but I remember anything other than the carousel being an hour.

I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who does this even if my family claims that I am. The paperback has to be of a size that will fit in a cargo or back pocket and interesting. I can get a lot of reading done even in a relatively short line.

I bring a BOOK. Yes, I know, an oddity--- an object with paper and print. It amuses me and doesn't run low on batteries, nor does it make any noise to disturb anyone else waiting in line.

depends on the attraction somtimes when it says 25mins it could be less could be more. depends on the ride loading and stuff.

like a 15-20min wait for Haunted Mansion isnt bad because before you know it your in the preshow
same for Tiki Room

Country Bears has a few benches so somtimes thats a nice rest spot with aircon plus the show to recharge my batteries before heading back out into the heat.

but some queues are outside and that can be uncomfortable and warm 25 mins crowded by ppl in the full sun isnt fun!
