question about leaving Disney for the day

I will be taking my daughter on a mother/daughter trip to Disney World this August.Every time we have been there before,we have never left Disney ground.However,this time,I was thinking I would like to plan a suprise for her and take her to Sea World for a day as well,since she really loves sea animals.What I am trying to figure out is how we will get there.Which is cheaper to do,book Mears or something in that order,or just take a taxi? Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to just take a taxi there and back? Thanks in advance for any help!

We took a cab when we went and it cost us about $50-$60 with tip round trip. There are usually cabs right outside of the resorts and if not you can ask the front desk or call for one from your room.

Some people use Mears and others do the bus-but the bus is a bit more complicated to use-but it is the cheapest way to go.

Just ask the cabbie to give you an estimate of how much the fare will be if you pick up a cab anywhere else besides Disney Property. Disney only lets honest cab companies on their property, but if you catch one downtown-it could be a gypsie cab and they try to take advantage of tourists.
