Question About Late Fantasmic Show

We are going on Labor day and this will be our first trip to Disneyland. We are planning on watching the fireworks from the hub and then going to the late showing of Fantasmic. Will we still be able to get a good viewing spot if we do this? Also, what is the quickest and easiest way to get from the hub to Fantasmic after the fireworks are over? Thanks in advance for the info everyone.

I have no idea, just wanted to say I was about to post the same question.

I'm going to be getting some lime colored mickey heads and putting them on our packs...you'll have to look out for me...or save me a spot!

First off, you'll have plenty of time. RDCT starts at 9:25pm and Fantasmic starts at 10:30.

In order to get the best possible seat for Fantasmic, watch the fireworks from in the hub over by Frontierland. When the fireworks end, you can follow the masses heading over to the Rivers of America to get seats for Fantasmic. Be aware that this won't be very "quick" because the crowds in the hub are packed in like sardines, but you should be able to get a decent enough seat.

Please note that if your RDCT seats are near Adventureland, you're going to have to go through Frontierland to get to the Rivers of American anyways. Crowd control CMs will repeatedly tell you to go around.

I watched Fantasmic after the fireworks in June. I waited about 15 minutes after the fireworks ended to let the crowds thin out some and joined the masses heading to Fantasmic. I eventually found a spot I liked since I didn't feel like walking anymore, but it was slightly obstructed by a lamppost.

If you have younger children, you may want to consider splitting the shows up to get better Fantasmic seats. I would do RDCT first because the fireworks show can and does get cancelled, but Fantasmic is far less likely to be cancelled since the pyro is minimal.

Aren't there 2 Fantazmic Showings??? 1 after the fireworks and another at 11:30 or 12 midnite?

I agree with Sleepless Knight. :goodvibes

FWIW... :wizard:

See HydroGuy’s post #2 and DangerMouse’s post #3.

HydroGuy’s post #2:
“Yes, I have done it and it is not very hard to see the late F! showing. We saw the RDCT fireworks in the hub from over in front of the Frontierland entrance (on the left side of the hub as you face the castle). After RDCT ends you just head thru Frontierland. One thing of which to be aware is that DL usually sets up a traffic management system in the hub before RDCT starts. This system in my experience directs everyone counter-clockwise around the hub in a one-way traffic lane. After RDCT they try to keep this going for awhile and hence if you are too far away from the Frontierland entrance you might have to go against one-way traffic to get there which might be difficult. My advice is before RDCT starts ask one of the CMs who directs traffic in the hub where you should be in order to make it to Frontierland and F! and go with that.”

DangerMouse’s post #3:
“I use the same strategy as Hydro, however, I prefer to stand closer to the Carnation Gardens entrance and use the Rancho de Zocalo tunnel to get into Frontierland. It puts me at the front of the crowds to get into NoS for the second showing.”

The F! shows are at 9 and 10:30, you can watch the 9 show and then the fireworks start right after ( you can see the fireworks from your seat at F! but it obviously isn't as good ( you can only see the fireworks that go up high, not the lower ones in front of the castle and you can't see all the projections on the castle or matterhorn).

We waited once for the fireworks (which were cancelled) so my sister went to get a spot for F! ahead of me (it's easier for one person to get through the crowd than all of us with strollers and such) and she got a front row seat so you can definitely get a good seat for F! after watching the fireworks show

Can some please tell me what the "hub" is?? I know I am going to feel really silly when i know but I can't seem to figure it out.......:confused3 Thanks

The roundabout in front of the castle where the spokes come off it leading to the different lands.
