question about KTTW and 4 yr old...

Will our 4 yr old have his own KTTW? If so, why? How do I keep him from loosing it or worse yet, someone taking it from him?

I saw the post about taking a hole punch - great idea.

everyone in the cabin gets a KTTW card. The first thing we do is go to Guest Services and have charge privileges removed (for the kids)! Your cabin number is NOT on the card so if they lose it no one can really use it. The little ones don't need to carry it around either - we usually left theirs in the room. They will need it in port if leaving the ship though.

We just returned from the 4 day wonder cruise. We have 3 DS the youngest is 3. The only time we needed his card was to get off and on the ship. Definately remove charging ability. We got lanyards for the 2 older ones they worked well.

I would always carry DD's and mine together or DH had it. The waterproof plastic holders that they sell in Mickey's Mates are great! I bought the double size one and it's large enough to carry my KTTW, my DD's KTTW and a pack of Kleenex. Cookie1963 is right, I can't think of an occasion when I really needed it other than getting on and off the ship but I always had it with me.

By the way, now I use my holder to keep my security ID when I go out running/walking during work. It was a great investment and a nice memory.

I found the waterproof holders at a Disney Outlet in St. Augustine. It was from River Country (which is rumored to be closing forever), and was only $1.99. They had the small and large ones. I don't know if they are available at other Disney outlets, but I'd sure look for one before I left. It was less than 1/3 the regular price!
