Does anyone know what the polices are for the kids eat free offer at the hifs. What restaurants you could eat at, what time restrictions there are, is the buffet dinner included, so on? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Kids eat free at the sit down restaurant for lunch and dinner. There was an all you can eat buffet for dinner that was $14 or $15 for adults. The kids could eat free from the buffet even if the parents ordered off the menu.

The lunch menu had a separate kids menu for the kids to order from that had burgers and chicken nuggets and stuff...I don't remember the dinner menu having a separate kids menu because when we ate there for dinner my kids got the buffet.

Kids don't eat free at the Pizza hut or the A&W where yoiu just order various items at the take out counter.

Everyone eats free for the breakfast buffet.

Im wondering if has changed since Feb 2002. At that time the kids DID eat free at Pizza hut and A&W with a paying adult. My 3 kids got to eat free as long as I purchased a meal. They has a "special" menu for the free selections for them to choose from....but it was your basic fare....personal pizza (peperoni I think), nuggets, or hot dog or burger and fries, and I think there was even a peanut butter sandwich offered. The adult meal had to be a "combo" ie burger, fries and drink. There was a specific time frame for this offer too...I believe it was noon to 5pm.

Kids do eat free at A&W or Pizza Hut during the daytime hours, but adults do need to order a full meal. They also eat free during the dinner and lunch buffets with and an adult who purchases a meal or buffet.

Of course everyone gets a free breakfast. As my husband says if anyone goes away hungry at breakfast it is their own fault.

Also wanted to add that there is oatmeal, grits, 4 types of cold cereals, bagels, donuts or muffins, and english muffins on the breakfast buffet in addition to all the things posted above.

We were there in June and what an unbelievable deal on food! As everyone said, the breakfast buffet was free for everyone and they had a very good variety. The hot things seemed to change each day and there was always cereal, bagels, donuts, etc. You could even take a tray back to your room.

We stayed under a special that gave us 2 free adult dinner buffets each night, usually about $15 each, and our 3 kids ate from the buffet for free. The food wasn't great but they had a good selection and the kids enjoyed it. The salad bar was good. The nights we weren't in the parks we definitely ate there. Just too good a deal to pass up.

As for lunch, the kids could eat free at the Pizza Hut or A&W from 12-5 with a paying adult. Up to 4 kids could eat free with each paying adult! I ordered a personal pizza and drink and each of my boys got a personal pizza and drink for free. My youngest was 1, only had two teeth and certainly wasn't going to be eating a pizza so dh had a free meal too! I think the whole thing cost $6.49! :D

When we were there I couldn't help but wonder how they control non-resort guests from taking advantage of the free breakfast? I know most people wouldn't dream of doing this, but just the same I don't know how they control that.
I cant wait to go back there! If I could book my room for Feb 2004 now, I would.
