I can't belive it - my sister and I just booked a last minute trip for the two of us for next weekend! Since we won't have my kids with us (they don't know where we're going) we decided to do the tour.

Can someone tell me which rides you get to ride during the tour? I don't want to waste our time riding them on our touring day if we get to ride with no lines during the tour.

I've read that we'll see the Utilidors, the parade staging area, and backstage area, plus lunch and the rides. Is there anything else?

Thanks!

Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion are the rides you ride.
Be prepared to do a lot of walking and make sure to take advantage of every bathroom break. During the tour you find out a lot about the scenery of the lands and the things you dont really notice.

If I remember correctly we rode Pirates, Jungle Cruise and ....can't remember the other one.

Don't count on seeing much of the utilidors. We were a little disappointed with that tour. We were down there for about 10-15 minutes and really didn't see much.

The parade staging area was closed off to us when we went. I forget why, but we couldn't go into that building.

It was a pretty good tour, lots of info. Have fun! :)

I thought it was the Mansion, but I wasn't sure. Thanks!

Each tour can be a little different as there are many groups on tour. We rode Haunted Mansion and Pirates and learned the stories behind each one. This is a good tour and we always recommend it as a first tour--lunch at Colombia HH is always a plus on this tour.

The attractions you will ride depends on the guide and the status of the attraction that day.

As far as the utilidores goes, a previous poster said they were only there 10-15 minutes and didn't see much. That's because there wasn't anything more to see. All they are is pretty much a tunnel wide enough for some people and one of those small cargo carriers to pass through. Overhead you'll see the pipes carrying hot & cold water, waste and electrical distribution cables.

Thanks everybody. I think we should ride everything we want our first day just in case - it doesn't matter if we duplicate something.

Prior to 9/11 the utildor tour was much more extensive. We were actually taken inside the different rooms down there. Talked to some cast members working on wigs, and taken into some other rooms but I can't remember exactly what they were (my memory is really shot). Characters were walking around freely in half costume. At that time we also spent a good deal of time in the parade garage.

The last tour I went on - after 9/11 was much different. Didn't go into utilidor at all, just a room to look at some pictures of what was there. There was a walk-by of the parade garage, but we didn't acutally enter the garage.

I'm sure the current tour can be very entertaining and I don't want to discourage anyone. It's just different.

Also, a lot depends on your guide.

We rode HM and were given a fast pass for any one ride. I would save your money and just watch the Travel Channel's Behind the Scenes at Disney. I just watched it today and saw and heard some of the same things i saw on this tour. Going underground was no big deal. Really nothing to see there as they do not walk you around.

We did the tour back in 1999, and we are doing it again in a couple of weeks. When we did it we went on people mover, haunted mansion, & jungle cruise. We spent ALOT of time in the tunnels, saw the wig & costume area, along with the laundry dept., saw characters milling around (winnie the pooh without her head on) :guilty: They spent alot of time talking about the trash system at Disney, and took us to see the floats, etc....

If you have a disney visa you can get 20% off the tours unti Sept. 30

Don't expect to see any of this, this time around. When we got down to the tunnel we stood right there, looked at pictures while our tour guide talked to us and that was it. I was very disappointed with the backstage part of this tour. All we saw and talked about backstage was the trash system. I just did this tour in August.

It was either the summer of '99 or '00. The second tour I took was in the summer of 2004.
