In the process of pricing up a January trip and have missed the UK % offer :headache:
but on the Irish site I can get 30% off, plus my sister can have kids go free too and it works out considerably cheaper than booking on the UK site with "a day and night free".

I'm sure someone on DIS has booked via Ireland site in the past or was there just a discussion about it ?

Or should we hang on a little longer and hope that a similar offer reappears on the UK site ?

We booked via the Irish site when it had 40% off. There was a thread what said to leave Ireland as your address and they only email you confirmation.

I'm an American living in Germany and I wanted to book the 40% off deal that they were running for the UK. I called into the reservations center and booked that way. The agent that I spoke to said you can just book it yourself and leave the country as is. I asked why they even need an address if they e-mail the confirmations, and she said it was to mail offers, etc at a later date.

I don't know why they run different sales for different countries.....it's annoying!! I don't know why they care where you are from as long as they get their money...

Well just rang the Irish reservation number and was told it's not possible they have to make the booking dependant on the country you reside in. Guess we'll have to wait then.

if you book online and pay in full, you can use whichever version of the DLP site suits you best (ie whichever one has the best offer at the time). Your confirmation will come to you by email, just like the UK site, and thats all you need to check in.

I was thinking the same thing and the Irish offer runs until 24th November, so I've plenty of time yet.

Only thing is offsite prices are much more appealing.

Aren't they always *sigh*

Jill, where were you thinking of staying if you stayed onsite? We've always stayed offsite before (Explorers) and the only thing I'd really rate staying onsite for is the location, which would obviously be a major consideration in your case with your nephew's age. I've never felt any lack of magic being offsite. We've always bought Dream annual passes so benefited from both EMH and dining/shopping discounts and you can still have your shopping delivered to the hotel. I'm already planning on booking an offsite hotel with a fully cancellable rate for next summer and if Disney don't have any decent offers then we'll be offsite again.

I booked through the Irish site just over a week ago. I got 40% off and 2 free children and staying at Newport Bay during Feb half term. Saving was well over £150 compared to UK site.

If you are happy with the price they are quoting then I would say go ahead and book. Offers in the UK are fairly standard (check their brochure and it gives you the dates of the offers).

There is no need to worry about booking through the site. As previously mentioned all you need when you check in is your confirmation details and as this is done via email nothing will be sent to your home address.

IMHO Onsite in Paris is much better than offsite. Go for it!!!!!!
