Question about Iphone in parks

Ok this may sound odd, but I am going to try it anyway. Ok normally to the parks I take my ipod touch for my DD8. I have various movies and cartoon shorts downloaded on it to keep her entertained when standing in line.

Well I have since upgraded to an iphone and these days I just hand her my iphone (you know when we are shopping and out and about) and she goes to the Disney site and watches Phineas and Ferb or Wizards of Waverly Place or whatever else they have on there. I dont want to carry both (but I will) how good is the access to the site in the park? Am I making sense here?? has anyone else tried this?

thanks in advance.

Many have reported that they have no issue with AT&T service in the parks. The only places you may have an issue is in some of the ride buildings.

I had no Verizon service at all in the final boarding area of Soaring. I doubt you would get a good signal for any phone in there because its a metal building.

Our AT&T worked great.

iPhone 3GS worked great everywhere. Love the iPhone.

And don't forget you may be able to get your return boarding passes using your iPhone. I used my iPhone to get the boarding passes for Southwest Airlines right at the 24 hour mark.... then when I was back at the resort, they could pull up my boarding passes and "reprint" them for me.

You could do this with any phone with Internet. But I found the 3GS iPHone to be very fast with downloading stuff and surfing the net. Large enough memory to store movies too.

We didn't have any problems with service, actually my iPhone got better service than DD16 Samsung. Both are AT&T. My DGS4 always askes me for my iPhone. A lot of cool preschool apps.
My fav app is DIS's E Ticket app. Instead of taking out the laptop I just grab my phone. Love it.

I was just in disney world in late Sept and I used mine everywhere. I didn't have a problem at all.

Thanks! :goodvibes I would rather just take my iphone and not have to have the Ipod touch. But I love that it gives her something to do other than complain when she has to stand in line.

When we were stuck backwards in EPCOT Spaceship Earth last month I texted on my iPhone easily.

When we went in Dec 08, I had the original iPhone, not the 3G but it was still good and quick for sites. I now have the 3GS so I would assume since it's the faster network, it would only work better. The battery will drain faster so you may want to get one of these:

I have one of these and it's handy. We used it mostly for air travel days though. My battery almost always lasts just fine through a whole day and then I charge it each night. One tip though for 3g and 3gs iPhones - if you start running low on battery and are worried it won't make it the rest of day... switch off 3g. You'll run on Edge and your data connection will be slower, but your battery will last much, much longer and you'll still be able to do everything you need to do. 3g is the battery killer.

I love my iPhone. The display, the apps, the cute little protective pink case...:lovestruc

Sorry...I lost myself there for a minute...

I haven't had any problems with AT&T 3G coverage except inside a few of the ride buildings (ToT, TSM, SM & PotC, specifically).
