I am in my second week of induction and I am getting bored with my dinners. I found a couple of recipes that look interesting, but I am wondering if you can have them on induction. One is a chicken baked in a sauce made of 2 kinds of hard cheese, a couple of spices and heavy cream. The other was two variations of chicken fingers, one coated in parmesan cheese, the other in a mixture or pork rinds and parmesan cheese. Can anyone tell me if I can eat these or not yet?

Thanks!!

Erika

Yes! Those are induction friendly recipes. I haven't tried the parmesan or pork rinds yet, but only because I haven't had the time. And as for the other...hard cheese and cream are allowed on induction. You just want to make sure you don't go over your allowed 3-4 oz. of cheese. I've been wondering about a cheese sauce....could you post the recipe? Thanks and hope this helped.

Friday night I made "cheese steaks" for DH and I.

I sauteed 1 cup of mushrooms (you could use more or less depending on how many carbs you'd had that day) in a little bit of butter (2tsp) and seasoned it with some garlic and a touch of salt.
Then I took the sliced that I'd bought pre sliced and browned it and drained the fat. I seasoned it with a little garlic, a touch of cayenne and some salt and table blend Mrs Dash. I divided the meat in 2 portions in the pan and melted a slice (1 oz) of provelone cheese on each one. I topped 1/2 the mushrooms on each portion on each piece and we were good to go. You could probably add small amounts of other veggies like onions or peppers but I wanted a small salad to go on the side with mine instead for the rest of my carbs.

DH was thrilled and it was a good meal.

Thanks for the great link. What a tremendous bunch of recipes.

There is a cheese sauce recipe on our eating healthy board and you will find it HERE
