Does anyone know if Disney Ft. Wilderness will allow a 21ft (26ft open) Hybrid Camper in Loops 1500 or 2000?

I've seen Class C's in there as well as Class A's. I've seen hybrids as well. Just no sewer so don't plan on dumping. I think you will be fine as there are the Trailmanor hard sides, tabs and other travel trailer types that are small.

The official rules say no.

But I have seen them in 1500 and 2000.

And, on occasion, travel trailers and even Class C's too.

But, I think those were special cases.

This. The Mayor has spoken.

OK, so I call the Outpost as many suggested and talk to Archie and Casper in Reservation. Seems like they will allow a hybrid in partial hook up loops, although they suggest to look for full hook ups or preferred next time around.

Let me tell you, both "Archie" and "Casper" are at a call center in Tampa or some other portion of the US and have probably never even visited the Fort. They don't even know what a hybrid is and it's suitability for the partial hookups.

The partial hookups have a shorter concrete area and no sewer. They have 30, Amp, 50 Amp power and cable!! As long as you have adequate holding tanks for your stay, you can stay there.

However, let me give you only one caution. Fort Wilderness does not have a dump station, so you will need to have a portable tank that you can take over to any full hookup site to dump, or have enough capacity so that you can dump somewhere after you leave.

Thanks Carol. We got the dump issue covered.

I am curious, when I called the outpost 407-824-2900 they said it was the Fort Outpost, and they transfer me to Archie who is responsible for assigning RV 's to sites. I spoke to Archie about the Hybrid and he seem knowledge about RV types. Now i hear you, and wonder if the 407-824 is an Orlando number?

You may have actually gotten through to the Fort site assigner, but you stated they were in "reservations", so that leads me to believe that you got the call center. In most cases it really takes a lot to get to an actual resort front desk staff. ALL calls are run through call centers first.

Even when dialing "front desk" from your room or a house phone you get a call center.

Of course as you probably know, it may be an Orlando number, but they can route it anywhere they wish.

Sorry, my original post was ment to say that I contacted Archie at the Outpost and Casper at Reservations (Call Center), two different numbers. The 407-824 is the one for the outpost, the reservation (call center) number is 407-934-7639.

I would say it depends on the hybrid. We're looking at a Roo 233s (3rd bed bunk and slideout) and I think it would be tight from my experience in 1501.

Ok, we have a Shamrock 21SS, that in fact is similar to the Rockwood Roo 21SS. It is 21ft long when closed and 26ft long when both end bunkbeds are open, and do not have a third bunkbed on the side, but it has a full slide out that extends aprox. 3ft wide.
