Question about HRH confirmation?

I made my reservation in September and paid my desposit. I got my confirmation letter with my deposit on it. I paid my balance off 2 months ago but didn't recieve any confirmation back. Is this normal? Should I call and confirm that my room is paid in full? Don't want any surprises when I get there, I have read of some mix ups with billings on these boards. My reservations were made with Universal Travel and I got the introductory rate. Trip is for middle of August. Thanks.

I would call to make sure the payment was received. On my last trip, I prepaid the total bill and never received an updated confirmation showing the paid amount. I called and they said it was in the computer as paid.

I've made an initial reservation (in February), got a confirmation a few weeks later with the rate on it etc... still didn't charge my card. Then we added on a day about a month later and got another confirmation letter with the new total, still didn't charge my card. Then we decided to add yet another night and got another confirmation letter with the total for all 3 nights, and they still haven't charged my card for anything.

Should I be concerned or not worry about whether they charge my card for a deposit??

They never charged my card on my March ressie. I think they just put a *hold* for that amount on your card, but it actually doesn't show up as a paid day on your ressie. I sent in the entire balance of my ressie before I arrived and that initial credit card deposit never showed on my credit card bill. However, when you check-in, they already have your credit card # for if you decide to use it to charge stuff to your room. Guess that is their way of saving time at check-in.
