I know this may seem like a crazy question, so please forgive me for asking. But-it is possible to stay in any of the Disney non-DVC resorts using points? I know most people like staying in the DVC resorts, especially since they're deluxe, but I didn't know if all the other resorts were an option or not! Thanks!

The moderate & deluxe resorts that are not connected to a DVC are available (no beach club, animal kingdom lodge, etc) but the points are very high. There is also a $95 reservation fee.

The value resorts are not a points option. Disney Deluxe resorts that have a DVC additon are also not an option...for instance, you can't stay at Wilderness Lodge on points because there are Wilderness Lodge Villas.

Additionally, there is a $95 trade fee to trade out of the DVC system and it takes a lot of points. The current exception to the trade fee is Disneyland resorts, but most members expect that fee to be added after the Villas open there.
