What is the best seating area to choose when traveling with young children (8 & 5)? I've heard that if you choose main floor you may have some character interaction, however, where is the best view/seating? I was wondering if the balcony might be best?

There are railing around the balcony, so they can be in the sight line of shorter people and kids. . I think the floor is fine for people of all sizes.

Once, we were on the main floor, front and center. Our oldest son (5yo at the time) got brought up on stage to participate with one of the musical acts. He loved it! We also got plenty of interaction with the cast, so everyone had a fun time.

Anywhere on the floor can have good interaction. We were somewhat towards the back (category 2 maybe?) and still got our birthdays and location mentioned by the entertainers. Just be a little proactive. They will be happy to come over during the show. :thumbsup2:

LOVED Hoop Dee Doo. One of the major things we're looking forward to this year.

Last time we went we were up on the Balcony and decided that's our new favorite spot! The kids (5 and 7) sat closest to the railing and could look down and watch the show. They were so into it that they hardly made a peep the whole dinner and me and DH could relax :-)

We were pretty far back on the floor, but our kids (6,7, and 11) could see everything just fine, and we did get character interaction, too. The waiter was really thoughtful, and showed us which seats were best for the kids, so they wouldn't have to keep turning around or get blocked sight lines. It was such a great show!
