question about haunted mansion

does anyone know if the haunted mansion at WDW is any different during halloween time? is the inside of the ride still the same (same music, same narrative)? i know haunted mansion holiday at disneyland is different and wondered if they do the same thing at MK?

Nope, WDW HM stays the same at least for now.

Haunted mansion was the same but when we went Pirates the beginning was in the dark and big thunder was dark with bats overhead. Pretty cool

That's how Pirates and Big Thunder are year round.

actually we asked at big thunder after we rode when we were there and the ride operators said the lights were totally off for an "extra spooky" ride. I've been on at other times of the year but there usually is some type of lighting. Same with Pirates...I've been on many times but never with the beginning pitch black rather than dark and the ride operators again telling us as we boarded it would be an extra bumpy ride or something...

I'm interested to see again when we go this Halloween because it really seemed like they made them extra dark and spooky.

The exterior gets different lighting for MNSSHP, nothing else.
