Question about Gty or room assignment??

When I put my deposit down yesterday I was trying to decide between Gty. or room assignment. I went with room assignment because we are traveling as a group with 3 rooms. How likely would it be to be upgraded for all 3 rooms and be in the same area of the ship?

We went with Cat. 9 and I prefer not to be on the 1st deck, really want deck 2. So if we went with Gty. and didn't get upgraded we could end up on deck 1 and spread out, right?

Someone help me figure it out please...

liklihood of an upgrade will depend on how sold out the cruise is ... as for will all 3 rooms be upgraded, I don't know .. I've seen posts from folks where they've had 2 rooms upgraded, so I wouldn't say it's totally out of the question.

We are traveling on Sept. 17, 2005, so I doubt it will be sold out. Or am I wrong??
