Question about gift giving (related to something I've already posted)

At what stage should you actually contact someone to see if they received your gift, if they haven't called to say thank you?

I left a gift (not wrapped) and a card for my temp agent last night at reception but I've not heard from her yet.

I'm wondering how long I should wait before I find out if she's actually got it

Maybe you should have personally taken it up to the person. Or written your home phone number on the card so she could call you.
