Question about getting to Alamo Car Rental

On Monday, my wife and I are spending the day at the Animal Kingdom,then plan on picking up our rental car at 5:30-6:00. What is the best way to get from AK to the rental center? Anyone have any good ideas?

Depends on which location you'll be using. If you are renting at the Dolphin, just take the bus to the S/D. It's more likely, though, based on your p/u time, that you'll be renting from the Car Care Center. I would just take a bus to the CR and have the shuttle pick you up there. You have to call Alamo to make those arrangements though. They may be able to pick you up right at AK though...so be sure to ask when you call them.

If you are picking up at the CCC then call them the day before and ask if they can pick you up at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Just make sure that you are there before your p/u time. They are pretty punctual. I doubt they can p/u at a theme park. The bus ride from the park to the hotel is like 10 min and make sure you get off at the hotel not the DVC stop which I believe is the first stop and the hotel is the second stop. Ask the bus driver when you board the bus.

I believe they will pick you up at the Animal Kingdom. Ask them if it's possible when you call - they have picked me up and dropped me off at the parks before.

Yup. The Dolphin rental counter closes at 4, so that's out.

They require an advance reservation for the shuttle pickup, so call them ASAP and get on the pickup list for Monday, only the National/Alamo car care center on property will be open that late.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll have a layover in Atlanta tomorrow on my flight to Orlando, I'll call them then!

Now if you will excuse me, I need to do a dance to express my joy that tomorrow night I'll be at WDW!
