I bought 1 lb of fresh crab meat (backfin) from the seafood deli and froze it as the clerk said it would be fine.

I forgot about it and discovered it's still in the freezer. The date on it was Aug something, so I know it's been in there at least 3 months.

Is it still any good? Or am I out of luck?

As long as it is in a proper freezing bag or wrap, I consider my fish good for 6 months. DH is a fisherman and we often have several dozen frozen bags of yellowtail, dorado and bass. After 6 months, I toss 'em out on trash day :thumbsup2

I'm going to warn you. If you freeze it it will no longer be fresh when you thaw it out.

I just didn't want you to be surprised.
