Question about Free Dinning

I have always heard about Free dinning plan and was wondering what plan it is? We always do the the DDX and was wondering if we booked with the DDX and we recieved the Free DP how does that work? Will they give us a discount if we up grade and do the DDX instead?

Mods and Deluxe resorts receive the DDP for free - Value resorts receive QSDP. However if you want to upgrade to DlxDP - you will simply pay *only the difference* between what each plan cost.

Not sure what the difference is nowadays. I think a few years ago for us (staying in a mod with free DDP) it was somewhere around $30 per adult, $10 child per day...

If you book a value, and your check-in date is within the free dining dates, and you book a package including room and tickets, you will receive the QSDP for free and can pay the difference to the dining plan you want.
If you book a moderate or deluxe resort package, you get the regular ddp, and can pay the difference to upgrade to the Deluxe DDP.

Thank you SO MUCH! This is exactly what we were wanting to know. Do you guys have any clue if free dinning is really only offered in the Fall? We are planning a May trip.

Your wonderful! One more question, is FD always associated with a 7 day/6 night stay? We were thinking about only doing a 6 day/5 night this comming up trip.

No - I believe the minimum stay is 3 nights. 7/6 is probably just what they are using in their current advertising.

This latest round of FD only requires 3 night stay, and 2 day park tickets.
